On one hand, this is a simple Lenten devotional. Each day contains a Scripture, a very brief reflection, and a short prayer. If you just read it through, it shouldn’t take you more than a few minutes. There are, however, some more complicated things happening under the surface. This devotional shares the question that we use in our Green Lectionary podcast conversation: “Where is Creation in this passage?” But it follows up with questions of how can Creation be a companion on our Lenten journey? How is Creation modeling sacrifice, suffering, and death? How is Creation holding the promise of redemption? What is Creation’s role in the New Creation?
