Blessing of the Animals
on Capitol Hill

 On behalf of Creation Justice Ministries and the National Religious Partnership for the Environment, you are invited to a Blessing of the Animals celebration on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 1:00pm, in Washington, DC, on Capitol Hill. The Blessing will take place the same month as the Feast of St. Francis, which is marked by many congregations with blessings of the animals. It will be an inter-religious opportunity to reflect on caring for God’s creatures, including endangered species.

The United Methodist Building

The United Methodist Building is located next to the Supreme Court. Weather permitting, the blessing will be hosted outdoors in the grassy knoll on the south side of the building, facing the Supreme Court. In case of rain, the Blessing will be held indoors.
