"Shaping the theological imagination of Christian communities to respond faithfully to the climate crisis."
Through resources such as the Green Lectionary Podcast, Earth Day Sunday materials, webinars, and study guides, CJM equips clergy and lay leaders to integrate creation justice into worship, preaching, and discipleship. This work responds to a critical gap: only a small percentage of churchgoers regularly hear about climate change in congregational life. By elevating diverse voices, and integrating science with theology, CJM helps communities move from silence and uncertainty toward faithful, informed action. This program cultivates an ecological conversion within the Church, equipping leaders to proclaim and embody a vision of hope-filled creation justice.

"Equipping churches to be hubs of resilience, weathering the physical, social, and spiritual storms of the climate crisis."
Faithful Resilience equips churches to serve as community hubs of climate resilience, providing practical resources, workshops, and guidance to help faith communities prepare for and respond to intensifying climate challenges. Through comprehensive tools including virtual workshops, a six-part study guide, and interactive climate impact maps, the program helps congregations transform their existing assets—whether facilities, land, or social networks—into resources for building community resilience in the face of physical and spiritual climate challenges.

"Equipping leaders and congregations to turn faith into action through formation, training, and leadership development."
Programs such as EcoPreacher cohorts, climate leadership retreats, and regional workshops integrate theology, science, and community organizing to prepare leaders for ministry in a climate-changed world. Each year, CJM trains hundreds of leaders through retreats, workshops, and online programs, with over 120 EcoPreachers and 2,500+ training participants annually. These experiences deepen leaders’ confidence, increase the frequency of climate-related preaching and teaching, and catalyze new initiatives in advocacy, education, and resilience. This program emphasizes relational learning, place-based formation, and long-term accompaniment.
